Reviews
Most of the food was very good. Service was good but they were very busy. Love coming here. Great atmosphere good prices.
Very nice Chinese/Japanese restaurant, beautiful decor very impressive. The food is choices of both regular Chinese and sushi. Very nicely served and had a good taste. Waiters came around to make sure everything was fine, and to fill water. We got a combo of rolls, rice and apps. Definitely try this place you will want to go back
The best chinese food on long island!! Old school atmosphere and great service. A menu that has every favorite from your childhood! Everything they make is perfect! Fried pork dumplings are perfect and the dumpling sauce is tangy! Cold sesame noodles aren't too gooey- just enough sauce to be light. Scallion pancakes are s crispy dream!
There is nothing they make that isn't 5 stars!
I heard great things about Jani and so I decided to find out for myself.
The food was delicious!
We ate Sweet and Sour Rib Tips for appetizers. It was a tasty treat.
Entrees were, Shrimp with Lobster Sauce, BBQ Duck, Jani's House Special Udon, Blossom Chicken and Shrimp Fried Rice.
My favorite, was the Udon but all were delicious.
The service was very friendly. What I appreciated is that you are able to enjoy your meal without being rushed. The atmosphere is quite pleasant.
I highly recommend eating here.
I had chosen Jani over the Chinese restaurant across the street because of fond memories with family and good food back in the early 2000’s. The atmosphere can be a bit noise but the walls lined with unique authentic tea pots and horseshoe booths are very nice and rare these days.
Unfortunately, despite the looks and initial tastiness. The extra deep fried rice and chicken and veggie entrees left me and my Serve Safe Certified friend with the runs the next day. Four days later I’m still recovering.

For the longest time I refused to come here because my last time I was with my in-laws and my kids were 7,4,1, it was an awful experience. I blamed poor Jani. Well I’m here to tell everybody that Jani is a very good restaurant, the decor is beautiful, the service was attentive and quick and above all the food was delicious. The early bird special is the best deal around. Please forgive me Jani, I will be back.
The soup dumplings are to die for and our entrees were plentiful and very delicious. . Our server was very attentive. I highly recommend it.
After many years of ordering from here, we ordered lunch and everyone vomited. I have no idea what they did to the food but they lost our business. I did call and spoke to some guy. He said we were the only people that called. Nice response. Hope he enjoys the obe star review.
